Merry Anna Varnell
Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
Merry Anna Varnell is a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the University of Memphis, and a dual Doctor of Nursing Practice degree with concentrations in Family and Psychiatric nursing from The University of Tennessee Health Science Center.
Prior to joining our practice, Dr. Varnell taught as an adjunct clinical professor at the University of Memphis and worked as a Registered Nurse on the Pulmonary Progressive unit at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.
Dr. Varnell will be providing holistic care to patients by integrating mental and physical health into her practice. She will be involved in the assessment and diagnostic processes, as well as the appropriate treatment options tailored to fit the needs of our patients. She will also collaborate with various other specialists in the clinic to fully serve this population’s needs.
Dr. Varnell will be providing on-site patient care primarily on the Bolivar Hardeman County clinical site and will also be available for telehealth appointments as needed.
Merry Anna was born and raised in Jackson, Tennessee. She has enjoyed participating in various charity events involving the improvement of healthcare in the local community and is looking forward to enhancing mental health care in the surrounding areas as well.
